Cloudy for most of the day with sunny intervals mid-morning until just before lunchtime.
Then sun in all its glory until mid-afternoon and gusts of wind above 30 mph (48.28 km/h) until mid-afternoon.
This is followed by the return of some sunny intervals and then more cloud until tea time.
The light cloud continues after tea lunchtime on Friday when there could be some light rain.

Risks: Wind gusts over 30 mph (48.28 km/h) before lunch until mid-afternoon and there is a surprise return before midnight for an hour or two. If you are going out in the sun please remember to put your sun protection on. There is an Easterly Wind and you all may know that this could mean planes overhead from Edinburgh Airport. However, most of the scheduled flights have been postponed.
