Sun in all its glory.

Dalgety Bay Weather:  As at 10:30 am on 28th May 2020

Here is  the weather for Thursday
With a high of 23°C and a low of 12°C.
It was mainly cloudy earlier this morning, however, there are now sunny intervals until lunchtime with the Sun in all its glory popping out just before lunch for an hour or two.
After lunch, the sunny intervals return until before tea.  But there are some surprise appearances of the sun shining alone in a bright blue sky before and after mid-morning and just before tea.
During and after tea we can look forward to more blue skies for an evening stroll or exercise until the close.  However, there is a risk of some clouds in the sky if we leave our walk too late.
In the evening there is a risk of a cloudy sky, this continues until early Friday morning
Wind:  Westerly, (Westerly), (Westerly),  Westerly, *South Easterly, (Southerly)
Speed:  8-(12)-(8)-5-(6) mph
Gusts: 12-(17)-(18)-12-8-(10) mph
Risks: If you venture out please make sure you wear sun protection.  While going out for your walk or daily exercise please remember to keep to the Social Distancing rules.  That is 2 metres (6.56 feet) or 6 feet (1.83 m) see Physical Distancing rules.   The World Health Organisation suggests AT LEAST 1 metre.  That needs to be understood in context and there is a helpful article here from the BBC here  www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-52522460.
The BBC article makes it clear that 1 metre at 2 seconds is as risky as 2 metres for 1 minute.  Therefore, the rule is to comply with the 2-Metre rule that is the law of Scotland and your safety increases the further apart you are.
There is an Easterly wind before midnight and therefore there is a risk of planes overhead from Edinburgh Airport.   This risk is low as the pandemic has stopped most schedules flights.  However, there may be the occasional scheduled flight and cargo plane on route with essential supplies.
Overnight, there may be fog.   That fog will more than likely impact on travel across the Queensferry Crossing early on  Friday morning.
That is it from me and I hope you have a trouble-free Thursday.  The birds are happily singing.   The sun is shining and the wind is not blowing too fast.  A wonderful day to relax.
