Here’s the weather for Thursday
With a high of 18° C and a low of 11° C feels like 8° C

Light Rain until mid-morning followed by cloud until lunchtime.

After lunch, there are sunny intervals and then sun in all its glory until the close of play.  This could be interrupted by light rain for an hour or two at about 1:55 pm.

The cloud returns about mid-evening and continues until mid-morning on Friday when the cloud turns to light and heavy rain.
Wind: North Westerly, Westerly, West South Westerly, Westerly, (Westerly), West South Westerly, (West South Westerly), South Westerly, South-South Easterly, Easterly, (Easterly until about 7 am on Friday)
Speed: 8-7-(14)-(8)-4-(11) mph

Risks:  Assuming it is going to be sunny in the afternoon please make sure that you are wearing your sun protection. Risk of surprise rainfall in the morning and the afternoon. Risk of rain in the evening and overnight.   Additionally, there is a risk of mist and fog in coastal areas,   Especially on the Queensferry Crossing and Kincardine Bridge tonight.   An easterly wind means there is a risk of planes overhead from Edinburgh Airport tonight and overnight.   Restrictions in England on flights are being lifted therefore some cancelled flights may start to return to Edinburgh.
