31 01 2020: Wind gusts over 30 mph all day. Walking difficult for pedestrians.  Gusts increase in the evening to over 40 mph.  Cloudy all day and tonight. Sunny intervals after lunchtime for an hour or two.   Then Cloudy until after tea. This is followed by light showers for an hour or two. Then more cloud until just before midnight when the light showers return

30 01 2020 Flood warning. High Wind: Cloud All Day. Now light rain followed by heavy rain. Mid-afternoon sunny intervals followed by cloud until the close of play. Cloudy sky until just before midnight then mainly a clear sky until mid-day on Friday.

Confirmed – Fife is the worst train service in Scotland with more than 2000 cancellations (Story via Fife Today) see New figures show that more trains were cancelled in Fife than any other area in Scotland Figures obtained by Green Party MSPs show that over 2000 train services were cancelled in Fife.

29 01 2020: Wind gusts over 30 mph after lunch. Cloudy for most of the day into the evening and overnight.  Sunny intervals at mid-morning for an hour or two. Light rain after lunch for a couple of hours. Followed by heavy rain and showers until the close of play. Heavy rain from about 7:55 pm until 10:55 pm.  Then light rain until after midnight.

After lunch, there is light and heavy cloud until the close of play.   From tea-time, there is light rain until 8:05 pm.  Then more cloud which is followed by more rain until just before midnight.

27 01 2020 Yellow warning Snow/Ice 9pm to 11 am Tues. There is a small risk of snow from 2 am on Tuesday for an hour or two. Sunny intervals from 1:55 pm followed by the sun in all its glory mid-afternoon. Then sunny intervals until the close of play.  The evening starts with a clear sky that becomes cloudy mid-evening and this continues until midnight.  Overnight expect light and heavy rain with sleet.  At tea-time, the temperature may drop to -1°C and this could increase to 2°C by 10:55 am on Tuesday.
