Katie’s group of friends will meet at Ballast Bank along the Fife Coastal Path to Dalgety Bay and back again, starting at 12pm on Saturday.
Carrie Wilson, a close friend of Katie’s, who organised the event, said: “It’s been quite a long journey for Katie.
“She’s had chemo and quite a large lump removed, but she’s now been given the all-clear, and it’s not invasive anymore.”
“She’s been keeping in touch with Macmillan through this time, so we wanted to support them.”
“I do a lot of running and like organising things, so I wanted to do something.”
