Scot Rail Skip Stations – Frequent Commuter Chaos caused by an almost daily 8:15 am skip

OPINION…

So why are the stations skipped? ScotRail say that there are engineers on board fixing a fault.  Surely,  as the fault occurs frequently ,at the same times each day there should be alternative carriages/engines in place? It does raise the question that if the carriages and engines are faulty frequently, should ScotRail have this stock in service?  Does their repair and fixing service have all the necessary equipment to fix the issues?

it would be good to see the service record of the carriages and engines on every train on the Fife Line to find out what the issues are.  We think ScotRail should make this information publicly available.  That way we all would know what the issues are and there would be no ambiguity!

Commuters in Fife are becoming more vocal and angry and  we believe they are right in their their concerns.  It is at the stage were the public think ScotRail are not taking the issue seriously.  We would agree as until recently, ScotlRail have been ignoring the concerns of their commuters and us on Twitter! The quote  below by Carrie_Main quite rightly represents the view of Fife Commuters…

train fault? You’re having a giggle. Can still make it from Kirkcaldy to Edinburgh but magics a fault between the 4 usual stops. Two days in a row. Let’s see the excuse tomorrow. Unicorn on line in Dalgety Bay. Photo proof yesterday and today”

The issue is, do the carriages and trains need to be taken out of service because they are clapped out or is it simply a Station Skipping exercise?  But no matter which Commuters cannot continue to face an 8:15am skip every day.  Scot Rail need to resolve the issue and stop putting commuters at risk of disciplinary by their employer!
