GAS POWERED GENERATING PLANT APPLICATION

Residents from Hillend attended the meeting to voice their concerns about the planning application for a gas powered generating plant to be situated at the far end of Growforth Nursery.

Full details can be found on the Fife Council Planning Website, reference number 17/02960/FULL.  Stan Green from Growforth attended the meeting to give some background on how this application developed from numerous cold calls from the developer to what it is now. The attraction to the developer is the proximity of the site to the substation and the gas main. This was discussed at length and the outcome is that the CC will submit comments to Fife Council based on concerns about noise, health issues, pollution, topography and the Scottish Government’s Low Carbon Infrastructure Transition Programme (LCITP)
