Here is the weather for Tuesday.
There is one SEPA flood warning in place. That is for Orkney.
With a high of 17 °C and a low of 11 °C feels like 9 °C.
Sunny intervals, Cloud, and risk of wind gusts to 40 mph (64.37 km/h) and over.
This morning sunny intervals until just before lunch-time when the sky will turn cloudy.
In the afternoon it will be light cloud until tea time with some sunny intervals for an hour or two just before 5:15 am.
During and after tea the cloud continues and at about 7:55 pm the sunny intervals return until the close of play.
In the evening hopefully, any cloud will be blown away until early morning.
Wind: Westerly, (Westerly), West North Westerly, (West North Westerly), Westerly. (Westerly)
Speed: 15-(16)-(13)-(9) mph. This follows what could be called the standard pattern.
Gusts: This is difficult to forecast as weather forecasters are providing different views of the speed of wind gusts. Therefore, the gusts if normal patterns are observed are in the range of between 5-12 mph (19.31 km/h) higher than the speed. But one forecaster as indicated that gusts throughout the day, are above 30 mph (48.28 km/h) peaking at 40 mph (64.37 km/h) near tea time.
Risks: Be careful when out and about after lunch as the ultraviolet ray index reaches a high of 6. Risk of showers throughout the day, this evening and overnight. Should one of the forecasts be correct do take care today if you are a pedestrian as wind gusts above 30 mph (48.28 km/h) are expected all day peaking at 40 mph (64.37 km/h) near tea time.
