Cloudy day. Sun in all its glory mid-morning with the clouds returning an hour or two before lunch.
Clouds continue until the close of play after which there are some light showers and light rain.
After tea, there are light and heavy showers for a couple of hours. Then it is just cloudy until midnight.
Risks: Wind gusts over 40 mph means a risk for high sided vehicles on the roads from 3:55 pm on for an hour or two and an hour or two before midnight. It also impacts on people that are frail. They could be blown over. Therefore, please try to avoid travel at these times if you can.
Some frost and icy patches tonight under bridges and trees.
Easterly winds from lunchtime until midnight mean planes flying overhead from Edinburgh Airport.
Risk of surprise rainfall throughout the day. The risk is the highest in the afternoon and tonight.
