A DALGETY BAY police officer who works in Edinburgh Sheriff Court had her crowning glory shaved off last week.

Brave PC Kathryn Murray was sentenced to a bald head this winter after deciding to lose her locks to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The 52-year-old, who battled the killer disease five years ago and endured 14 months of chemotherapy, said she wanted to “give something back” and has already gathered £1,700.

Kathryn said: “I was unfortunate to find a lump and, having a mammogram which showed a further lump and shadowing on my lymph nodes, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2014.”
